Have you ever bought a necklace or pendant and after a while of wearing it the clasp falls off—more times than not, manufacturers are taking short cuts that you end up paying for. At BBSF all our jumprings are soldered closed. It’s called integrity. We believe in the old adage, “ a chain is only as strong as its weakest link’ so we make sure they are all soldered closed. Now if your child tries to hang from it...that’s another story but rest assured, with normal wear, these chains won’t fall apart at the jumprings!

The Oar Pendant starts as a piece of round wire and is forged on an anvil then annealed in fire then forged again until it it takes this form. I originally designed this pendant for a female friend of mine and called it the Paddle but have chunked it out and added a thick chain to give it a more masculine, pulled off the neck of Thor, appeal.

This hunk of sterling silver measures 1 1/8" long and hangs off a thick 20" chain with a sturdy parallel lobster clasp that doesn't require dainty finger nails to open...no way...this clap is a manly clasp! You squeeze the buttons on the sides of the clasp with your manly, vice like, forefinger and thumb and it opens with a grrr! Can you feel the testosterone? Can you feel it?!
